Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Linux virtualization and storage techniques

The Idea is testing/playing around with different clustersetups/strategies with free/open software, with several storage backends and different hypervisors resp. different management software.

Possible hypervisor/management combinations are:
- kvm (openstack, ganeti, sheepdog, proxmox)

- xen (xenserver, openstack, ganeti, ...)

- vmware (vmware)

Storage backends play an important role in such a
virtualisation/cluster environment, therefore the main focus will lie
on these techniques available in Linux:
- replicated with drbd/heartbeat&co or single homed

- iscsi

- nfs4/files

- local lvm

-  ceph + rbd + libvirt

As time constraints are tight there will be a presentation style overview and a small demo setup with openstack and proxmox
