The Etherpaper System

The Etherpaper System is part of a series investigating the domain of communication structures with low-tech and obsolete devices. It repurposes discarded typewriters and wires them up in a network as a shared. It's a distributed writing system/word processor. If there is something typed on one typewriter then it gets immediately typed on all other typewriters in the network. It can be used for free or charge and by several users at the same time. The text is typed on a long roll of paper. The writing process in the Etherpaper system is not understood as a response. Users developed a different understanding of writing in that someone's writings are woven into someone else's writing.
